Guncraft's World-Class Training Program
What can you expect from a Guncraft course? Our courses are designed to accomplish three things:
1. You will significantly improve your confidence and proficiency with your firearm
Our program is designed to dramatically improve the skills of both complete beginners and experienced shooters, training them side-by-side. If you are new to shooting, a Guncraft Defensive firearms course will build your skill set from the ground up and show you everything you need to know to be successful. If you're an experienced shooter, we will help you build on the knowledge you have, make you faster and more consistent, and round out your skill set. After completing a Defensive firearms series, you'll have a level of skill and confidence which surpasses that found even among most law enforcement and military.

2. You will build your skills faster than with other training programs
We know you lead a busy life, and spending hours practicing on the range every week is probably not something you can fit into your schedule. That's why we've carefully designed our courses for efficiency, using a logical learning sequence where each lesson builds upon and reinforces previous lessons. This allows you to significantly improve your skills in a relatively short amount of time, faster than any other training program. Like any other skill, skill at arms takes time and effort to learn, but the Guncraft system is like an express freeway to expertise. And yes, there will be homework, but we'll show you how to get the most out of those practice sessions, too.

A complete Defensive Skill Set
We approach building your defensive skill set just like constructing a building. First, the foundation must be solid. Then, we add additional skills on top of the foundation, and continue to build upward while reinforcing and strengthening everything below. The Guncraft Training Pyramid below is a visual representation of the skillset you'll build during our courses.
The foundation of your skill set is Weapons Handling. This includes firearms safety, familiarity, grip, stance, loading procedures, and other essential weapon manipulations. Often neglected, mastery of these skills sets you up for success in everything you do with your firearm.
Next, you'll learn how to hit your target -- Marksmanship. If you can't hit the target on the range, you'll never hit it under the stress of a life-threatening encounter. Improving your defensive marksman means learning to accurately hit your target every time, increasing the speed of your shooting, and adjusting your balance between speed and accuracy on the fly.
Throughout your development of marksmanship, you'll also learn a wide range of Defensive Techniques, designed to maximize your success in a gunfight. These include presenting from a holster or sling, malfunction clearances, shot placement strategies, and much more. These techniques also include using your most important self-defense tool, your mind, to avoid a fight when possible, and be prepared to win if you must fight. You'll also learn when you should and should not use your weapon, and the actions to take afterward if you must shoot.
With all of these other skills in place, you'll build the capstone of your skill set, Dynamics, which includes stress inoculation, rapid decision making, and tactics. A firm command of these skills will place you at an elite level of trained gun owners, and give you incredible peace of mind that comes through being prepared to defend yourself and your loved ones.
