Intermediate Handgun
Objective: Expand your technical and tactical skills while developing the ability to quickly recognize and respond to a rapidly-changing situation.
Having proven your skills during Defensive Handgun, it's time to develop your handgun repertoire with the addition of new skills and increasing challenges. The Intermediate Handgun Course will hone your existing skills and provide you with additional tools to prevail in a gunfight. Additional tactical techniques and the use of alternative shooting platforms will allow you to confidently engage targets in more challenging situations, including hostage rescue shots and shots at ranges out to 50 meters. You'll have the opportunity to practice your skills in ever-more realistic and stressful live-fire simulators. Progressively more challenging range drills will keep you on your toes and train your ability to adapt to changing circumstances. The course concludes with the Intermediate Handgun Skills Test, giving you a metric for your progress and letting you decide where best to focus your training.
