When gun owners are trained, everyone benefits.  The gun owner benefits from having the knowledge to safely and effectively use a firearm, gaining the peace that comes from being prepared to take control and prevail in a dangerous situation.  Families are protected from unfortunate firearms-related incidents borne of ignorance, and gain the peace that comes from being under the watchful eye of someone armed and trained to protect them.  Neighborhoods benefit from a reduction in crime, under the deterrent effect of an armed citizenry, and gain the peace that comes with knowing their homes are safe.  As these positive benefits ripple outward from communities and become nationwide trends, society benefits from the peace the comes from being armed and trained.
