Individual Tactics
Once you've become familiar with your defensive weapon of choice, it's important to enhance your training with knowledge of tactics in order to be able to effectively deal with complex and dynamic situations that you will likely face in a life-threatening encounter. The Individual Tactics Course will provide a foundation of knowledge in the art and science of individual tactics. You'll develop an essential understanding of tactical principles through a combination of lectures, classroom exercises, range work, and scenario negotiation. You'll learn to think and move through a variety of situations, starting with simple corners and moving up to complex doorways and intersections. You'll also learn some practical tips for applying tactics in everyday life in order to minimize your threat exposure and avoid getting caught in an disadvantageous position. The course culminates with a dynamic life-fire scenario that allows you to apply everything you learned in a realistic simulated criminal encounter.

Course Prerequisites:
Bronze or better rating on the Standard Skills Test in the weapon you wish to use during the course
Course Requirements:
Handgun, Rifle or Shotgun, 300 rounds of ammunition, 3 magazines or speed loaders, holster (handguns) or sling (long guns), magazine or speed loader pouch
